OUR STORY

As a young man growing up in South - Africa. I would always dream of owning a pair of MJ sneakers especially after watching "Magic Mike" with Bow - Wow. However, my family earned below an average salary every year. The price of sneakers were a dream and definitely out the budget for a whānau of five - A.K.A "Jackson 5."

In my later years of high-school, I had started working part-time and after 2.5 months of saving up - I bought my first pair of Converse. I teared up with gratitude, because this was my first and only authentic pair I had beside reps (replicas*).

When we arrived to Aotearoa (New Zealand) I bought a few more and began to sell them at an affordable rate. I saw the impact these sneakers made on so many youth and young adults in Aotearoa. Many just like me, owning their first pair at a later age, leaving the same impact it had upon that young kid (myself) in South- Africa.
